Translation and Localization Provider ENLASO Aligns with New ISO 9001:2015 Standard
Boise, ID – ENLASO Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise language solutions, announced today that it successfully updated its Quality Management System to align with the requirements of the new ISO 9001:2015 standard.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a network of the national standards institutes of 161 countries, with one member per country. ISO 9001 is a standard that sets out the requirements for a quality management system and can be applied effectively to any organization, regardless of the product or service offered by that organization. The standard provides an effective framework for businesses to continuously improve their processes to better meet the needs of their customers and other relevant parties. ENLASO’s commitment to ISO 9001 has produced a robust quality system that ensures ENLASO meets or exceeds the requirements of its customers in every market.
ENLASO established its quality management system (QMS) nearly 20 years ago, creating an effective framework to ensure all quality objectives are met while providing for the continuous process improvement necessary to drive “faster, better, and cheaper” translation and localization services for its customers. Many of the company’s customers represent highly regulated industries—including medical, pharmaceutical, energy, and manufacturing industries. These industries benefit from ENLASO’s ISO 9001 registered quality management system that is designed to ensure ENLASO meets customer, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
The new ISO 9001:2015 edition was published on September 14, 2015. The most noticeable change to the standard is its new structure. ISO 9001:2015 now follows the same high-level structure as other ISO management system standards, making it easier for anyone using multiple management systems. Another major difference is the heightened focus on risk-based thinking. While this has always been part of the standard, and of ENLASO’s QMS, the new version gives it increased prominence. Organizations that are registered for ISO 9001:2008 are expected to update their quality systems by September 2018 to adhere to these modifications.
